(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Notice 2024
Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intends to make an Order in accordance with the provisions of Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect will be to prohibit vehicular traffic on the following roads in the Parishes of Whitley,Antrobus, Great Budworth, Marston, Wincham, Nether Peover, Allostock, to enable the Womens Tour of Britain Cycle Race event to take place on Saturday 8th June 2024: –
The closure of the roads below will come into operation between 11:00 and 12:00. This will be managed by the Police as a rolling road closure, travelling in a anticlockwise direction Higher Whitley, Frandley, Great Budworth, Upper Marston, Wincham, Plumley, Lower Peover, and will be approximately 30 minutes at each location.

Pillmoss Lane from the Borough border to A49 Tarporley Road
Tarporley Road from Pillmoss Lane to Raddel Lane
Raddel Lane from A49 Tarporley Road to Bentleys Farm Lane
Bentleys Farm Lane from Raddel Lane to Lake Lane
Lake Lane from Bentleys Farm Lane to A559 Northwich Road
A559 Northwich Road from Lake Lane to A559 Warrington Road
A559 Warrington Road from A559 Northwich Road to A559 Marston Lane
A559 Marston Lane from A559 Warrington Road to Earles Lane
Earles Lane from A559 Marston Lane to Pickmere Lane
B5391 at the junction of Earles Lane and Linnards Lane
Linnards Lane from Pickmere Lane and the Borough border a point 400 northwest of A556

B5081 Middlewich Road from B5081 Crown Lane to Townfield Lane
Townfield Lane from B5081 Middlewich Road to A50 London Road.
A50 London Road at the junction of Townfield Road and Booth Bed Lane
Booth Bed Lane from A50 London Road to a point 1km north of Main Road
Route heads into Cheshire East

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES FOR TRAFFIC
Due to the short nature of the closures no diversions will be in place.
Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used in an emergency for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.
